Look what I've got:

What do I do with this beautiful Moly? It's absolutely stunning— the colours and energy are out of this world. Once I figure out what to draw or paint, this lovely book will be on its final voyage home to Anna Denise who will complete the last pages.

Then we'll start all over again with new books.

So I'm going to eat my salted sour apple and sip some tea while I think about what to add to this beautiful piece of work. This exchange has been such an exciting and fun experience, I'm looking forward to MX13 Part II.

Pigeons for Emma

I finished my last entry in Emma's book today— I wanted to draw something playful, and was inspired by this little guy whom I fell in love with:



He's a terracotta bird from Anatolia, the Asian part of Turkey. He reminded me of one of Emma's fantastic beasts. I didn't intend to have both entries depict me running of with flying animals, but there you have it. It's something I do often :)

Samantha's Moleskine, almost done!

This morning before setting off to work, I finished my second entry in Samantha's Moleskine. It is a wonderful moleskine, it is very beautiful, if I do say so myself being a part of it.

Happy New Year, Ladies!
I'm excited about what this new year will bring to the exchange. Before I left SF I stocked up on Japanese Mollies, so once this round is complete, I'm ready to start a new one with you. I love our little group.

I finally finished Laura's Moleskine. I was obviously inspired by Samantha's camel...
sending it off to you this week. Then your book will be home. There are only 3 panels left.

Finally: AnnaDenise's entry in Samantha's Moly!

I'm sorry this has taken me so long. I had started working on my entry in Samantha's book ages ago, but I when I wanted to draw in the lines with my marker, I noticed it had dried out to a point where I was afraid to mess up my entire entry. Anyways, it's done, and I'm quite happy with it. The colors on the scan are a little off, but they're the same as in my earlier entry (see here).












Samantha's book looks fantastic. The large scan really is amazing, check out the large version [here].

AnnaDenise in Laura's Moly - Round 2

Today I finished my entry in Laura's book. I was feeling pretty pleased with myself, until I scanned the thing and noticed I got the girl's body all wrong and the perspective messed up. I hope my entry is not too 'empty' but I felt like today was a day of change ;-) and I'd just go ahead and try something different.

I have almost finished

I have been thinking about this moleskine for over a week after staring at Ann-D's bees.
I believe I have almost finished. I hope that you are all happy to continue, and to send to me in Australia as well! Show you the finished result soon.
Oh, my desk is a mess! I am just pushing everything in my way to the end at the moment, I hope it doesn't fall off before I clean it up!

Yesterday my Moly came home, and the work is just stunning.
Thank you all for your beautiful work, your commitment and your enthusiasm. Every piece is so unique and impressive. I am now trying to think of what to draw in it for round two! I'm very excited about sending it round again.
