I finally finished Laura's Moleskine. I was obviously inspired by Samantha's camel...
sending it off to you this week. Then your book will be home. There are only 3 panels left.
Samantha's book looks fantastic. The large scan really is amazing, check out the large version [here].
Today I finished my entry in Laura's book. I was feeling pretty pleased with myself, until I scanned the thing and noticed I got the girl's body all wrong and the perspective messed up. I hope my entry is not too 'empty' but I felt like today was a day of change ;-) and I'd just go ahead and try something different.
I got to meet the lovely and talented Anna Denise today! Here we are at Café de la Presse in San Francisco, where I am giving Laura's Moleskine to Anna.
Anna, I had so much fun! Come back anytime— Emma and Laura, if you find yourself in SF, let me know!
I have been thinking about this moleskine for over a week after staring at Ann-D's bees.
I believe I have almost finished. I hope that you are all happy to continue, and to send to me in Australia as well! Show you the finished result soon.
Oh, my desk is a mess! I am just pushing everything in my way to the end at the moment, I hope it doesn't fall off before I clean it up!
Here it is, a continuation of the waves and the gold from my first entry. I'm so excited to see what all of you will do next! This is our last round, can you believe it?
Here's a not-so-great picture of the entire book so far.
I am working on a full scan.
Thank you all for your beautiful work, your commitment and your enthusiasm. Every piece is so unique and impressive. I am now trying to think of what to draw in it for round two! I'm very excited about sending it round again.
Today I received Ann-D's Moleskines for X-13 and the first Portrait Party... I thought I had an idea for the portrait party, but in fact, this came out instead... strange, there are monkeys in there. I sat at my desk nearly all day working madly on all the things I have wanted to do for a week. I feel better now.
This is obviously not finished.
Finally, I have finished. I wanted to keep it simple and carry through the fantastic red from the other entries. And the bulls. Emma, I hope you like it— Anna I am sending it out to you tomorrow. I am sorry it took so long!
I got Emma's book today from Laura, and wow— the colours are just incredible! The reds are divine. I also got Marty's amazing book from Moly-X29. Seeing both of these Mollies in person is unbelievable. I'm going to be really busy.
...Once Anna receives it!
Here's my entry in Anna's book. I wanted to carry over the red and birds from the beautiful previous entries. I was originally going to draw a city skyline below her feet on that curved artery, but decided not to at the last minute. I hope you like it, Anna— your book will be on its way home to you tomorrow.
I thought I should put it on the blog in it's finished state.
Sending it off to Anna on Monday, can't bear the idea of the post office and it's malfunctioning customer classification systems today.
I decided to go with animals as well, since Laura started with cats and Samantha continued with birds. I don't have any pets, but I love ants! They're so smart and I study them often. So, here we go. I think the scan didn't bring out the image very well, but it's kind of hard to scan these books on my tiny little scanner :-)
So here's a picture of the entire book! Nice, eh?
Curiosly, i have seen Samantha drawing in my Moleskine after I have drawn mine in Anna Denise Moleskine, and both have finished the last page with flying birds. Perhaps it was a telepathic cuestion...
I have finished my entry in Anna Denise Moleskine. I want to send it tomorrow to Samantha. Good travell from Spain to U.S.A.!
